About Me
After over 11 years of corporate life, we were downsized and I was laid off. As a result, it allowed me to decide what was important, and how I wanted to spend the rest of my life. After some time, I realized that one of the things that made me happy were cats. I always enjoyed coming home to my cat who was never judging and always entertaining. Recently, after over 18 years, he passed. During this time, I decided I was going to provide cat sitting services in Sonoma County. I have also adopted a two year old cat, Annabelle, who was ready to be euthanized with her kittens. I can not express my happiness that there was a good samaritan who saved her and her kittens. I found her ad while searching and she has been such a joy. I know my cat above is looking down at us, happy. I will always be thankful her life was saved.
Next month, I will be volunteering at the Petaluma Animal Shelter, and I am also planning on helping out at Petco walking dogs as well as anything else they need help with located in Rohnert Park, CA. During my exhaustive search in all of this, I realized just how sad it is at animal shelters. The number of people dropping their animals off is incredible, and most say it is due to them being foreclosed or the economy. Although I sympathize with them, I do not believe this should happen as it frequently does. When taking care of a pet, it is for life. I could not see doing that to a human child. One of the causes I want to defend, is the harder stance of animal abuse sentences in Sonoma County to start.
I am also a Pet Representative at Life's Abundance. While they provide nutritious and healthy food, I was intrigued by Dr. Jane's program helping rescue neglected and unwanted animals. There is a certain amount of money which is set aside for animal shelters, organizations, etc. This touched me greatly and I knew Dr. Bicks was doing a great thing. I recommend anyone interested in this to go to www.nutritionalpetfoods.com, under Pets, and Foundation. There you will find more information about her services. Once there, you can also check out the health food and supplements for pets and people.
